“I purchased the Love Dare book for my daughter and her husband. They saw it (Fireproof) Friday night and my son-in-law went to church today for the first time in about 5 years.”
A fellow church member sent that email to me concerning the effect the film and the 40-day marriage saver featured in Fireproofare having on her family. Wow, if you’d made a movie, wouldn’t you love to hear of such an effect made thanks to the Holy Spirit blessing your effort?
For a change, there’s some dynamic entertainment hitting the movie theaters and DVD shelves. The third film by the brothers Kindrick (Facing the Giants, Flywheel), Fireproof caught fire its weekend in theaters, bringing in a very respectable $6,169,000. Lee Strobel’s argument for the sovereignty of our Lord Jesus, The Case For Faith, is selling well on DVD, and on the 10th of October, Billy: The Early Years, the highly anticipated bio on Billy Graham, will appear on the same movie screens that a day before featured the likes of Ghost Town or The House Bunny.
