Wanderlust Productions, the independent film studio behind the hit “God Adventure” trilogy Finger of God, Furious Love and Father of Lights presents Holy Ghost. The premiere is 9/6/14. Wanderlust Productions was founded by Darren Wilson in 2006 when he began work on what would become his first feature length film, Finger of God. Guest appearances include Lenny Kravitz, Phil Vischer, Michael W. Smith, and William P. Young.
FILM SYNOPSIS: Holy Ghost is a feature film documentary that follows filmmaker Darren Wilson as he travels the world attempting to make a movie that is completely led by the Holy Spirit.
PREVIEW REVIEW: The intent is to bring awareness to the person of the Holy Spirit, but those behind the documentary also approach strangers on the street and do essentially the work of mediums: “I sense a bad relationship in your past” or “Is there a problem in your left shoulder?” While man can do the miraculous, aided by the Holy Spirit, including healings, as evidenced by Jesus and the disciples, the shotgun approach presented here may be disconcerting to many. Those involved in the Charismatic movement may be more comfortable with this style, while for others, it can be off-putting.
Several in the group are musicians and artists, tattooed to the chin, several in dreadlocks, all seemingly at odds with “traditional” church services. There is both good and bad about the rebel nature of their ministry. While I won’t debate the positives and negatives of street ministries, I would suggest that if you see this movie, you discuss the film’s message with your pastor concerning the filmmaker’s Pentecostal approach.
