FILM SYNOPSIS: The story concerns a foursome residing in Beecham House, a home for retired opera singers. PREVIEW REVIEW: Old opera people living in a home may have a limited appeal to younger audiences, but oh what they would miss if they don’t see this film. First, it has a wonderful score (some opera – but very good opera) as well as a look at how people deal with growing old. Again, I know that sounds like a bummer to those who think old age is far, far away. But, it isn’t. Our time here is fleeting, a wisp of wind gone too soon. You can kind of look at this as a guidance piece, one that shows US how to grow old gracefully. Though there is some PG-13 content, the film deals with forgiveness and compassion, plus we are given delightful performances from a seasoned cast.

Caution: One character often makes crude sexual remarks. This bawdy character laces his crudity with wit. And I caught two uses of the f-word.
