FILM SYNOPSIS: The epic adventure Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the mystical realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. As a result, Thor is banished to Earth where he is forced to live among humans. When the most dangerous villain of his world sends its darkest forces to invade Earth, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero.

PREVIEW REVIEW: It is what it is, a comic book legendary superhero brought to 3D. Things and people break, quake or explode, all at decibel-defying bombasity. The story is somewhat involving, the men are strong, the women good looking (and strong), there are positive messages about not being prideful or vain, and the visual look is outstanding. Though the 3D effect continues to wear thin, the film’s CGI effects are impressive. Not as witty or smart as Iron Man, still, if you’re a fan of the comic book god of thunder, you’ll most likely be satisfied. Don’t like loud movies, but find you have to attend with those who do? Take earplugs.
