FILM SYNOPSIS: The Dukes of Hazzard is based on the popular television series that had a six-year run till 1985. Georgia cousins Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke (Johnny Knoxville) are joined on their wild adventures by skimpily clad cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson), who runs a moonshine business on the family farm. The family crosses the path of Hazzard Countys corrupt commissioner Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds) and the town sheriff, Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey). In an effort to get rich strip-mining for coal, Boss Hogg and his team take possession of several Hazzard County farms, including the Duke place. Not knowing what Boss Hogg is up to, the Dukes begin a wild ride to find answers that lead them to Atlanta and the annual Hazzard County race. Fortunately, General Lee, their 1969 orange Dodge Charger, is up to the challenge.
PREVIEW REVIEW: Dukes of Hazzard fans will recognize the car, the characters and even Daisy Dukes shorts, but viewers should prepare for a barrage of foul language and profanity. The crazy cousins, Bo and Luke, have sexual appetites exceeded only by their urges for trouble. The movie opens with a moonshine run and Luke immediately finding himself in the bedroom of a girl who loses her shirt within seconds, much to the dismay of her father and brother who respond with shotguns. Later, the cousins end up in a college dorm, smoking marijuana with underwear-clad co-eds. Bo makes several references to having sex with his car, which is his pride and joy. Violence runs throughout the movie with bar fights and car crashes. Even Uncle Jesse gets involved by throwing Molotov cocktails at police cars. Preview recommends that you ride to a movie other than this one, which would better be titled The Dukes of Hazardous Waste.
