Billed as a romantic comedy, this is actually a sad story about dysfunction. Seventeen-year-old Mamie (Lisa Kudrow) gets pregnant by her stepbrother Charley (Steve Coogan), who doesnt know he has a son.Mamie becomes an abortion counselor and gets frequent massages from Javier (Bobby Cannavale) who is married. Nick (Jesse Bradford), who knows Mamies son, wont give her the details unless she lets him film the reunion. Sheagrees and drags Javier into the blackmail scheme.Charley, who turns out to be gay, lives with his lover, Gil (David Sutcliffe), and the two are best friends with a lesbian couple (Laura Dern and Sarah Clarke) who has a two-year-old son. Elsewhere, Jude (Maggie Gyllenhaal) is interested inOtis (Jason Ritter), the leader of a band and a closet homosexual who is stressing out his father (Tom Arnold). Jude plansto seduce Otis forhis wealth but thensets her sights on Dad. Disaster ensues when secrets are about to be revealed. Doesnt this sound hilarious?

Homosexuality is positively portrayed as something to be accepted. There are sex sceneswith breasts exposed and severaloffensive scenes involving men kissing and petting. There is a lot of bad language and a scene of pot smoking.Nearly every character lies, cheats or plots against another in pursuit of self-indulgence.Other than Mamies son, none of the characters shows any restraint in lifestyle.Mamie eventually gets married after reconciling with her son, and their lifestyles change for the better.Excessive sex, homosexuality, nudity and lewd content all make for an unwholesome movie that is unsuitable entertainment for kids, teenagers or anyone else. The target audience seems to be homosexual men.
