Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

MPAA Rating: R

Entertainment: +3

Content: -3

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back as the terminator in this science-fiction action thriller, the third in the series. In the future, machines begin to take over the earth in an attack on mankind. But they begin to lose the war primarily because of the prowess of one man, John Connor (Nick Stahl). The machines send a female terminator (Kristanna Loken) half man, half machine back in time to kill John. As in the second movie, the good guys capture a terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), reprogram it and send it back to the past to protect John. The protector, however, is not as advanced as the killer. The story takes place 10 years after the last one at a time when the nations defense is about to be entirely controlled by one central computer. John attempts to stop this, all the while being pursued by the virtually indestructible killing machine.

In one chase seen after another, cars, a fire truck and a crane destroy nearly every thing in their path. Without remorse, this machine from the future kills anything that gets in its way through a variety of methods close range shooting with a handgun and putting its hand all the way through a mans stomach, to name a few. In once scene, the killing machine drives a car from the back seat with its hands punctured through the inside of a man sitting in the drivers seat. Men and women are picked up and thrown violently to the ground. Machine guns are shot into large groups of people. Even the so-called good protector steals a motorcycle by throwing a police officer to the ground. Crude and obscene language are abundant throughout the film. Needless to say, due to the graphic violence, brief nudity and bad language, Preview cannot recommend this film.
