The highly anticipated second film in the popular Biblical End-Times series is making its debut just before the end of October, almost exactly two years after the first story appeared. Cloud Ten Pictures is following the same successful counter-market strategy of putting out the video prior to theatrical release. Although its been two-years in production, the story picks up a week after the event of the first movie. Reporter Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron) meets with pilot Ray Steele (Brad Johnson) and Pastor Bruce Barnes (Clarence Gilyard) to figure out how to unmask United Nations Chancellor Nicolae Carpathia (Gordon Currie) as the anti-Christ. Rays daughter Chloe (Janaya Stephens) joins her father to help the effort, but also has a growing attraction to Buck. Nicholae plans to have the head Rabbi in Jerusalem announce him as the Messiah, to help unite the world into one religion. But two strangers have appeared near Jerusalems Wailing Wall with a different message. Although Nicholae seals off the area to control the messengers, Buck sees it as an opportunity to discredit Carpathias plans. Meanwhile, Ray gets hired as Carpathias private pilot and meets up with Hattie (Chelsea Nobles), his ex-mistress who now works as Nicolaes personal assistant. Can Buck and Ray fool the devil while working under his nose? This exciting adventure is even better than the first story and will have many anxiously awaiting the next episode.

Strongly evangelistic, the Gospel message of salvation is presented several times to different characters. The Jerusalem messengers recite Biblical passages about the Messiah. However, the announcement of the Messiahs identity by the head Rabbi, may alienate Jewish viewers. While it avoids most of the objectionable material in todays films, a few scenes contain graphic violence. Fire comes out of the messengers mouths and sets some soldiers on fire. And the graphic injuries of a burned fireman are also seen. LEFT BEHIND II: Tribulation Force will no doubt cause generate plenty of discussion.
