A "knock-off" is a cheap imitation presented as the real thing, particularly expensive products like Rolex watches, designer clothes, and even dolls. Marcus Ray (Jean-Claude VanDamme) was a dealer in knock-offs until he and partner Tommy (Rob Schneider) became legitimate representatives for V-6 jeans. But Marcus discovers Tommy really works for the CIA and Russian agents are suspected off smuggling powerful "microbombs" in knock-off shipments to the USA, including V-6 jeans. He and Tommy have to find the bomb shipment and the bomb makers before they sail for America. It's almost non-stop action in typical VanDamme style, but with the weak plot, many will feel the film's title describes this special effects film as just another cheap copy.

Like most action-films, this one almost constantly fills the screen with explosions, fights or chases. Some shootings are graphic with blood spurting our of chest wounds, a man knocked off a truck is impaled on a metal spike and another smashed by a shipping container. A woman is threatened with a bottle of acid which is later thrown onto a man's arm. And there's more than enough martial arts kicks and hits, gun threats, knife throwing and property destruction to keep the stunt watchers happy. Foul language, some in occasional subtitles, assaults the ears with many mild and moderate crude terms, at least 17 f- and s-words and God's name used in vain 8 times. A few sexually suggestive comments are also made and some clothing models are seen in bras. One woman wipes her chest seductively but the scene turns into a fight. There's no times for sex. KNOCK OFF should be knocked off the viewing list.
