Joe Tyler (Matthew Perry), a New York process server for Ray (Cedric the Entertainer), get the job of notifying Sara Moore (Elizabeth Hurley) that her Texas cattle baron husband, Gordon (Bruce Campbell) is cutting her out of their business partnership and marriage. But it becomes a game of who can serve who first when Sara convinces Joe, with a one million dollar bribery, to serve Gordon in Dallas before delivering her notice. With Joe switching sides and under pressure from Gordon, Ray sends his dim-witted but determined server Tony (Vincent Pastore) to track down Joe and Sara. Chasing Gordon across Texas and around Big D, its a race to get him before Tony gets her. This somewhat screwball comedy plays with stereotypes of Texas, but the Friends star matched with the attractive Hurley will attract moderate attention.

Unfortunately, the film overflows with offensive language and crude humor. One disgusting scene has Joe helping a dysfunctional bull by putting his arm into its posterior to stimulate the prostate. Only her back is shown, but Sara shows her breasts to the clerk to get a free motel room. In an earlier scene, she loses her pants on an airport luggage conveyor. No sexual activity is shown or implied, but Gordons adulterous affair is blatant. Gunshots, punches and car wreck are often presented as humorous. And Ray frequently takes the Gods name in vain. Discerning viewers should not be SERVING SARA.
