Over the long-suffering looks of his wife and new baby, Frank (Emilio Estevez) leaves the security of his Evanston, Illinois, home for a night out with the boys. His friend Ray (Jeremy Piven) shows up in a huge borrowed RV, complete with TV and bar. Mike (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) and Frank's brother Johnny (Stephen Dorff) join them as they head off for a sports event. To avoid the traffic jam, Ray gets off the Chicago freeway. These back streets hold terror as they witness a murder. The psychopathic killer Fallon (Denis Leary) and his gang stalk them in a savage game of cat and mouse - through the streets, the housing projects, and even the sewers. It becomes a fight for survival as the friends face a test of their friendship, loyalty, and courage. Much gory violence, however, with little new to entertain, makes JUDGMENT NIGHT just another stalker movie.
Unfortunately, this thriller thrives on violence. There are many close-up views of gory bullet wounds killings. Even the RV explodes into a fiery inferno. Coupled with the violence comes a truckload of objectionable language with endless obscenities and regular profanities. Also included are several scenes of drinking while driving. There is also one humorous reference to genitals. This assault on the public's sensitivities should be avoided.
