Season Five debuts October 6 as a collectible three-disc DVD set from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Audiences follow the daily trials and tribulations of Mary Richards, an up-and-coming associate producer at WJM-TV fighting to make a place for herself in a man's world. At work, she befriends her tough-but-lovable boss Lou Grant (Edward Asner; Up), compassionate long-suffering news writer Murray Slaughter (Gavin MacLeod; The Love Boat) and pretentious anchorman Ted Baxter (Ted Knight). In this fifth season, Mary and her hilariously eccentric friends at WJM-TV weather a few storms -- sometimes literally. If her love life isn't challenging enough, Mary takes a crack at producing the news, and even has a brush with the law! Laughs are the lead story when a consultant turns the newsroom on its ear, Lou becomes Mary's neighbor, and Ted starts a rumor that he and Mary are dating.

I have several seasons of the show and look forward to getting Season 5, one of their best.
