This compelling family comedy puts an ingenious spin on an all-too-common story children caught in the middle of the marital separation of their parents. With the Reece family, when the question comes up of Who gets the house?, the answer is the children. Not wanting to be shuttled back and forth between parents, the Reece children petition the judge for possession of the house, and she grants their request. But also knowing their parents, Don and Rebecca, love each other, the four children want to see them reconcile. So, they unite to form Operation Get-Together. But when a surprise anniversary dinner doesnt do the trick, their best hope is a wacky science experiment and a clever voice-altering apparatus. Even a radio talk show host tries to crack the code of silence between Mom and Dad. But despite everyones best efforts, only Don and Rebecca can let go of past offenses and reconstruct their marriage. WHO GETS THE HOUSE is an original family film that the whole family can enjoy. However, older children and adults are more likely to appreciate its deeper message about marital conflict.
