Sergeant James Dunn (Keenan Ivory Wayans) is a Marine sniper convicted of killing his commander during Desert Storm. Condemned to die, he is rescued and recuited by a Lt.Colonel (Jon Voight) to be part of an elite anti-terrrorism team. They plan to assassinate a wealthy industrialist (Robert Culp) supposedly providing biochemical weapons to terrorists. But when Dunn aims his rifle, the First Lady is killed and Dunn is identified as the shooter. First the police, then the army, led by the Lt. Colonel, set out to catch Dunn. Exciting chase scenes and spectacular stunts follow as Dunn eludes them while trying to figure out why he was set up. He's helped by a female doctor (Jill Hennessy) who videotaped the shooting and also seems to be a target for elimination. Dunn's only help may be the CIA director (Paul Sorvino) but Dunn's got to stay alive to bring him the proof of a conspiracy. Action fans will enjoy this tension-packed mystery.

Dunn refuses to kill a ten-year-old boy which causes his commander to threaten him with a gun. In the scuffle, the gun goes off. And guns fire frequently as SWAT teams and army snipers try to kill Dunn before he figures out the truth. When a reward of 10 million dollars is placed on his head, Dunn is chased by a mob of citizens onto a freeway where many are hit by cars. A brutal beating in an elevator and an execution style shooting are overly graphic. But like many action films today, the biggest fault is foul language including over 30 obscenities, 23 crude words and 7 profanities. While no sex occurs, there is a brief scene of female breast and rear nudity as a woman gets out of a swimming pool. The doctor and the audience are misled to think Dunn makes a sexually suggestive comment when he's talking about pizza. MOST WANTED could be a good action story, but it suffers mostly from unwanted language.
