Marty Pascal (Josh Hamilton) is bringing Lesley (Tori Spelling), his fiancee, home for Thanksgiving. "Home" is a mansion in Washington D.C. where his aloof mother (Genevieve Bujold), his mentally-deranged twin sister named Jackie-O (Parker Posey), and slightly retarded younger brother (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) live. It's 1983, exactly 20 years since Kennedy's assassination, an event that seems to have pushed this bizarre family over the edge. That's the day Mr. Pascal disappeared, and Jackie-O began pretending she was Jackie Kennedy. Marty took home videos of her dressed up in a pink Chanel suit with catsup smeared on the front of the skirt. Lesley quickly discovers Jackie-O is possessive of her twin brother and extremely jealous of any outsiders. Marty seems drawn to his psychotic sister in an unnatural way. HOUSE IF YES, from its title to its plot, makes no sense at all and will leave most audiences disgusted and bored. It might be described as funny (peculiar), but hardly a comedy.

This movie features an incestuous relationship between a twin brother and sister who mock the Kennedy assassination. Marty thinks he has freed himself from his sister's clutches by moving to New York and falling in love with Lesley. However, the minute he walks in the front door, doubt overcomes him. Jackie-O embraces him passionately, steers him away from the others, and later Lesley sees them having sex. Lesley confronts Mrs. Pascal about the twins' sick behavior, but mom shrugs it off as sibling "affection." In the meantime, Anthony has wormed his way into Lesley's bed, convincing her she should teach him how to have sex. There is no nudity in either brief sex scene. Anthony's one-subject conversation reveals he suffers from severe sexual frustration. After holding a drinking contest, the drunk Jackie-O and Marty play out Kennedy's assassination, with tragic results. Three f-words and two regular profanities give further reason to just say "no" to HOUSE OF YES.
