Rushon (Tommy Davidson) has been dating Nikki (Tamala Jones) for seven weeks, and wants to get sexually intimate. Nikki, who doesn't know if she's ready, asks her friend Lysterine (Vivica A. Fox) to join them for an evening out as a blind date for Rushon's pal Bunz (Jamie Foxx). Initially Lysterine is repelled by Bunz's crude manners. Dining at a Chinese restaurant, Bunz impresses her with some Cantonese he learned watching martial arts movies. Later the couples play cards at Nikki's apartment, and Lysterine and Bunz get hot and bothered playing "footsie" under the table. They rush to her apartment across the hall and begin to have sex. Rushon and Nikki do the same, but she insists on using a condom and convinces Lysterine that she also needs protection. Rushon and Bunz head to the store, and a series of misadventures follow as the boys' desires are repeatedly put on hold by demands for more safe sex supplies. Most of the comedy is pretty tasteless and sexually oriented. Only viewers with a very crude sense of humor will be amused.

An emphasis on pre-marital sex dominates Booty Call. Although Nikki is committed to "safe sex," abstinence isn't considered as an option. At a store the guys meet a "church member," Judge Peabody (Bernie Mac), who lectures on the dangers of fornication. But he doesn't practice what he preaches, as he has a prostitute waiting for him outside. Lysterine and Bunz have several fairly graphic sex scenes with some near nudity, and sex between Rushon and Nikki is implied once. When a man tries to rob the store, the cashier fires a machine gun in an uncontrolled fashion, but only the store is damaged. Later, Rushon is hit by a stray bullet, with no blood shown. The couples are served by a flamboyantly homosexual, Chinese waiter. A raucous crowd at the preview screening we attended obliterated some dialogue, but we still heard dozens of crude words and obscenities, along with several regular profanities and many vulgar expressions for sex. Because it blatantly endorses foul language, crude humor and immoral behavior, Booty Call should be avoided.
