PREVIEW REVIEW: Iíve been surprised by some comic book superhero movies. Iron Man had interesting character arcs, smart dialogue, and, okay, lots of really awesome special effects. And the first Captain America also gave us more than the usual things-that-go-boom special effects. It was clean, patriotic, popcorn-munching fun. But evidently the makers of these Marvel movies have received mandates Ė MAKE IT LOUD Ė MAKE IT VIOLENT Ė AND MAKE IT LONG! Itís just more of the same. And louder.

That said, a younger audience, and those who attend Comic-con, may enjoy the excesses.
