Guy Pearce, Peter Stormare, Maggie Grace, Tom Hollander. Thriller/Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Directed by James Mather, Stephen St. Leger.

FILM SYNOPSIS: A panic ensues when prisoners awaken from a deep sleep in an orbiting prison. The presidentís daughter is taken hostage and itís up to a wrongly convicted government agent to rescue her.

PREVIEW REVIEW: Had it been made a few years ago, this sci-fi actioneer would have starred Bruce Willis and been titled Die Hard in Space. We would have been better off had it been, for Guy Pearce, who is a serviceable actor, doesnít have that same smirky panache or charismatic charm Bruce Willis displays over and over.

That said, itís an okay adventure, except for the lackluster byplay between hero and heroine, the herky-jerky camera movement done to simulate tense action, and the profaning of Godís name by the lead. Come to think of it, I guess itís not an okay adventure.
