Glenn Close, Janet McTeer, Mia Wasikowska, Aaron Johnson. Biopic. Written by Gabriella Prekop, John Banville, Glenn Close. Directed by Rodrigo Garcia.

FILM SYNOPSIS: A woman passes as a man in order to work and survive in 19th century Ireland. Some thirty years after donning men's clothing, she finds herself trapped in a prison of her own making.

PREVIEW REVIEW:. Given this parable about the secrets people live with, Ms. Close astounds with a sensitive and dimensional performance. There is a bit of crude content, which especially stands out against the reserved manner of the day, but the writers and director develop both character and story and keep us hooked with their resonate dialogue and his deliberate pacing.
