Animal documentary from Warner Bros. Narrated by Academy-Award® winner Morgan Freeman, Born to be Wild 3D opens exclusively in IMAX theatres on April 8, 2011.

FILM SYNOPSIS: Born to be Wild 3D is an inspiring story of love, dedication and the remarkable bond between humans and animals.  This film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them—saving endangered species one life at a time.  Stunningly captured in IMAX 3D, Born to be Wild 3D is a heartwarming adventure transporting moviegoers into the lush rainforests of Borneo with world-renowned primatologist Dr. Birute Galdikas, and across the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne Sheldrick, as they and their teams rescue, rehabilitate and return these incredible animals back to the wild.

PREVIEW REVIEW: It’s hard to beat animals-in-the-wild films. They’re loaded with new life and life lessons, cutting through the unimportant, reminding us of the joys of life. Born To Be Wild 3D is no exception. Though the 3D process is unnecessary, the documentarians approach the wonder of our world with the same magic and majesty found in Earth, March of the Penguins and Winged Migration. Entertaining and informative, Born To Be Wild is first-rate for the whole family.

On the Born to be Wild website, IMAX has added the capability to create “care packages” for baby elephants and/or orangutans and then to make a donation to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (elephants) and/or Orangutan Foundation International.   Here are links to the pages:
