PREVIEW REVIEW: Bella (Spanish for beautiful) is one of the most touching stories of recent memory. Winner of several festival awards, including the coveted Peoples Choice Award at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival, Bella (pronounced Baya) is a compelling and inspirational tale with positive role models (the male lead is a Christian in real life). It is a film that celebrates the Latino culture, family and the value of a life.

Rated PG-13, it receives that rating for the subjects of the accidental death of a child and a young woman debating whether to abort her unborn child, but the subjects are handled with discretion, the pro-life statement is clear and there is no objectionable language, nor any sexual situations. It deals with life-changing moments, and begins with the illumination, If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. Isn't that the truth.
