Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
This movie falls in the genre of Road Trip and Dude, Wheres My Car? Harold (John Cho) has a great job as an investment banker, and his best friend Kumar (Kal Penn) aced a pre-med exam. Their futures look promising, yet neither finds occupational fulfillment. After work one Friday, Harold and Kumar get high on marijuana and decide to go White Castle to satisfy their drug-induced hunger with some fast food. When they discover that the nearest White Castle has been bought out by another chain, they look for another one. They stop at Princeton University for more marijuana. A freaked-out Harold causes Kumar to drive the car into the woods, where it blows out a tire. A creepy tow-truck driver takes them to his house, inviting the two men to engage in sexual activities with him and his wife. Later, Harold and Kumar pick up a hitchhiker who steals the repaired car from them. In the films conclusion: Harold and Kumar find inner strength to accomplish their dreams through excessive drug use.
Harold and Kumar inhale marijuana using a variety of methods, steal drugs, and hide from the police. The movie presents people consistently consuming large quantities of illegal drugs without suffering negative consequences, and it suggests that drugs make you a better person. Sex is also a big part of the movie. Harold & Kumar includes many vulgar discussions of sex and a lot of crude humor. Several times white police harass men because they are minorities. Christianity is blatantly mocked. A Christian character has a gross body covered by puss-filled boils, talks about Jesus continually, and has extremely perverse sexual desires. His Christian wife dresses immodestly and offers herself to strangers. Due to illegal drug use, irresponsible behaviors, abysmal sexual degradations and bad language, Preview recommends that you avoid this one.
