Meet The Deedles
Entertainment: +1 1/2
Acceptability: -1 1/2

When twins, Phil (Paul Walker) and Stew Deedle (Steve Van Wormer), are expelled from school on their 18th birthday, their wealthy father, (Eric Braedon) decides to teach them to be responsible young men. Instead of spending their time surfing on the beaches of Hawaii, Phil and Stew are sent to boot camp. But things go awry and they are picked up by a crazy man (M.C. Gainey). They escape during a car crash and end up in Yellowstone Park where they are mistaken for rookie Junior Park Rangers. They decide to assume the identities of the park rangers thinking they will finally impress their father and win his approval. But the brothers encounter some obstacles along the way. Phil develops a crush on Lt. Jesse Ryan (A.J. Langer), the stepdaughter of the Captain of the Park Rangers. And Stew must fight off a crazy ex-ranger (Dennis Hopper) who wants to divert Old Faithful. This goofy comedy is filled with comical escapades, and young teenagers may see the humor in it. But few others will.

While the movie has some humor, it's quick to offend with crude behavior. There are several references to genitals and one reference to intercourse. In addition, there are many scenes that include passing gas jokes and one in which a huge flock of birds defecate on the Captain's head. In another scene, Phil and Jesse share eating a worm, which ends in a kiss. Much of the movie is disgusting and distasteful. There are many crudities and two each of obscenities and regular profanities. Although the violence is mostly slapstick with cars careening off roads and cliffs, in one intense scene a man threatens violence with a knife. Champagne is consumed by the bad guys, and Phil and Stew mix many so-called "hula" drinks, although it's not certain what they contain. Most will probably be better off not meeting the Deedles.
