This dramatic sequel to the unexpected 1999 hit, THE OMEGA CODE, depicts Biblical end-times events featuring the film's anti-Christ, Stone Alexander (Michael York). Beginning with Stone's childhood, it climaxes with the battle of Armageddon between the forces of Good and Evil on the plains of Megiddo near present-day Jezreel in Israel. The story follows two brothers, Stone and David (Michael Biehn) Alexander as Stone rises to Chancellor of a World Union and David inherits the Presidency of the United States. Drama and romance mix as the estranged brothers conflict over both world dominance and interest in the same woman, Gabriella (Diane Venora). Gabriella reflects the confusion and searching for answers of all people in the midst of cataclysmic and devastating events. Dramatic special effects depict horrific, supernatural outpourings of plague, pestilence, and worldwide catastrophic destruction during the Biblical Tribulation period. These events lead to the final Armageddon battle and the symbolic return of Christ to the earth. Audiences are likely to be mezmerized by this Biblical-themed action thriller. Violent battles and hand fighting, hideous demons and other frightening occultic activity make MEGIDDO appropriate only for audiences over age ten. One mild crudity is spoken, and no sexual material is included. MEGIDDO proves that PG-13 films can be produced which are acceptable for older adolescents, teens and adults.
