Joe Cooper (Trey Parker) and Doug Remer (Matt Stone) are life long friends who invent a new sport that attracts national attention. Combining basketball with baseball, its called Baseketball and revolves around distracting your opponent, usually with insults, while he tries to shoot a ball through a basketball goal. Cooper and Remer spend much of this film playing the game and insulting their friend and team mate, Squeak (Dian Bachar). However, in a funny scene Squeak gives a heartfelt speech about the importance of friendship while dressed as a huge pineapple. When the National Baseketball league is threatened to be taken over by a corrupt business man, it is up to Cooper and Remer to defend the integrity of the game they invented. The zany antics of this comic team are hilarious and helps to rescue the film from it's weak plot. And the reputation of Parker and Stone as a comedy duo, along with director David Zucker's reputation for unique slapstick comedy will more than likely save this film from being a box office embarrassment.

But for those looking for a good clean comedy, BASEKETBALL is not the place to find it. The film thrives on crude humor and gives new meaning to the word "disgusting". Among other offensive things, its two male lead characters kiss and lick each other. While the majority of the humor revolves around violent sight gags, male rear nudity becomes rampant as it is seen on different occasions in the locker room. Also cheerleaders, both male and female, are seen several times in revealing outfits. And moderate crudities are almost too numerous to count. With over 40 f- and s-words, 7 profanities, sexually crude humor, male rear nudity, and numerous violent sight gags, there is no question that BASEKETBALL earns its "R" rating. It's truly an abomination. The question is, why would anyone want to watch this filth?
